5/17/2012 - So the big news of course is the release of Diablo 3, the latest release from powerhouse Blizzard. Of course I had the game on pre-order and had been very excited about a new version arriving. So what have I thought so far? Check it out here.
Still thinking about this site what type of content should be posted or least what I should be reviewing. The change I am making is that unless some major game that I really want to play is coming out, then I am sticking with reviewing handheld games and MMO games.
Since I am am sologamer (hence the site name, couldn't resist the lame humor) these two areas should be very interesting and allow me to focus. Handheld gaming is a natural thing since I only have little bit of time to play during the week. The MMO genre is interesting also since I've always wondered if some games were soloable and never could get a clear picture.
Who Knows how long this idea will last, but I am really excited to narrow down what I am playing and reviewing. Hopefully I'll have found a nice niche to work in.
5/8/2012 - Not much to report from last week other then I've come to the conclusion that my favorite type of character to play in games are the mage classes. Rift has a nice mage character that gets to have a minion to follow him/her around.
Speaking of Rift, I haven't run into any super hard quests yet and has been very solable. So far it appears that the developers of Rift have done an excellent job with the pacing of getting your character leveled.
Rayman Origins arrive this week from Gamefly and I got to play it for the first time last night. Bit of a quirky game, but have enjoyed the first couple levels the game has to offer. The graphics are pretty good and the atmosphere feels spot on. What I didn't realize prior to me renting the game was that game was from Ubisoft, which almost made me put it down after seeing their logo go blasting across my screen.
Still counting down the days till the D3 release date. Hopefully Amazon won't get it to me too late and I'll get to sit down and enjoy it that weekend.
That's about it for this week. Thinking of writing a rant about the new D3 auction system, but want to wait till the game comes out before forming an opinion.
